Welcome to Random Sketchbook, the collective work of Niovi Phinopoulou.
Niovi started her career as a graphic designer & illustrator before transitioning to VFX. In 2013 she started as a 3D Artist at MPC commercials, moving to MPC Film, at the Groom department. Since then, she has worked in different roles and studios mainly as a groom, texture/lookdev and 3D modelling artist. She have been fortunate to work on projects such as the Jungle Book, Avengers: Infinity War and Free Guy.
After living in the UK for 11 years and having worked in London for almost 6 years, she crossed to the other side of the pond, moving to Vancouver, BC.
Currently she works as a Senior Surfacing Artist at Animal Logic.
Most of my personal work is centered around the natural world, exploring the relationship humans have - or lack to have- with as individuals and as a collective.
Since my early days of painting and discovering I liked to experiment with materials and mediums at hand. Over time I came to favour pen, inks and acrylics with the occasional use of oils and digital painting.
Hand in hand with my illustrative and painting work comes photography; as a medium of taking references but also a means of exploring and capturing the world as I experience it through my timeline.
